Question by brickity hussein brack : Does all this talk about “Muslim law” that paints Obama Muslim take his father’s apostacy into consideration? So many on here say that he’s a Muslim because according to Muslim Law, if you are born to a Muslim you are a Muslim. As if that is such a bad thing.
However, Obama’s father had left the religion, and married a western atheist woman against the wishes of his family. His father was an apostate, not a Muslim. Why don’t they ever cover this angle? Best answer:

While what you say is true, I still go with the religious freedom angle. In America I’m free to choose my religion, independently of my family.

Being a muslim is no big of a deal. What concerns me most is that he went to a racist anti-American church for more than 20 years and subjected his daughters to this kind of insane preaching. And to be precise, his father didn’t abandon Islam. He went back to Kenya and was married to more than one wife which is a Muslim practice.

If his father was an apostate, he wouldnt have given him the name Hussein.
Hussein is the imam who fought in Karbala, Iraq and since then, Muslims have been divided between Shiite and Sunni. Followers of Hussein are the Shiite, and common among very extremist Muslim families.
