Do you think that this Sheriff should be arrested?

Question by Paulina Paulino : Do you think that this Sheriff should be arrested? Sheriff Arpaio of Arizona has been accused of civil rights violations and official misuse of funds: arresting and imprisoning American citizens because he and his deputies thought they were illegals (meaning, I assume, that they looked like Mexicans). This all happened over a year ago before the Az. Immigration law was even thought about (March 2009).

He was ordered to turn over records of these arrests to the Justice Department to see if violations have occurred. To date, he has not done so. He knew he had not given the documents, because yesterday he said: “Can’t they wait another week?” Arpaio asked. “Why can’t they give us a little more time?” http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2010-09-02-arizona-sheriff-arpaio_N.htm

His defense is that he has already turned over “100′s of thousands of records”. What good are 100,000 pieces of paper if they are not what was asked for?

So, now that he is being sued to produce these documents, he says that he is being “sandbagged” by the USJD.

Do you think he should be arrested if he does not comply? Best answer:

Yes he should be arrested. He is depending on the Unconstitutional Immigration law that Arizona passed to be over turned and put into play. He thinks this will save him. He is as racist as they come, i think his badge should be shoved up his @ss by the ones he arrested on these false claims.
