Cops are above the law, this is pretty much known to most of the intelligent by now.
Problem is most people are not intelligent so we still have this undue “respect” for these people as if they are war heros.
Its more dangerous to be a civilian, I have no legally intimidating car or outfit, no constant right to OC anywhere, no benefit of police unions and judicial leeway that can allow me to literally get away with murder.
The only downside is that the pay is a little sup-par.

That is it! I’m joining the police dept. Where else can you still drunk drive? And they offer unlimited access to the public whom you can taser, shoot, beat, sexually assault, rob. Really there can’t be any better job that offers the unbridled freedom to do whatever you want.
We need POLICE LAYOFFS! This economy is a great opportunity to see how many cops we really need. Will our world end if we lay off 20% of our cops? LET’S TRY IT. People in Indiana have guns. They can wait for cops to bring over a body bag next time they have a home invasion.
