Can i be drug tested while on unsupervised probation?
Question by XxMaThIaSxX : Can i be drug tested while on unsupervised probation? I got arrested a few nights ago and had court the next day. the charges where speeding, ovi (which is similar to dui), And drug paraphernalia. I was sentenced to some community service, couple fees, and a class that i have to attend. And i was put on unsupervised probation. My main concern is can i be drug tested while on im on unsupervised probation. Can someone give me details on what “unsupervised probation” is. And please don’t leave any comments about doing drugs. Pot isn’t bad. it just gets drawn out of proportion by the media. I just want to know what i asked. Thank you for any help. i would really appreciate it. Best answer:

Yes you can be, if in doubt check with your parole office, notice I said parole “office” not officer.
What do you think? Answer below!
It depends on where you live. In my state, unsupervised probation requires only that you pay the costs of court and fines and that you abide by the law. You aren’t even assigned a probation officer to report to. If you get in trouble while on unsupervised probation, you’ll be in more trouble that you would be in originally. In other states, unsupervised probation may be a little more formal and since you were arrested on a drug related offense, you should carefully read the terms of your probation (you should have been given some type of documentation by the courts). And when all else fails, as the first poster said, call the probation office and ask exactly what you are expected to do.
You surely can, although you may not be. And yes, pot is bad. It makes you get arrested and fined and have to be on unsupervised probation. Later it may cause you to serve time. Time is bad too
Depends on the probation office. Depends on how you behave during probation. Random testing is selected by a random poll, regardless of whether it’s supervised or not in Ohio. How your state or province does it, could be different. Odds are not in your favor though.
