Question by KJT: Is The Child Support System Fair In Your State?
I can only speak for Indiana.
Some judges will ignore the state statues and make their own rules at the bench.
The attorneys have a “good ol’ boy” relationship with the judge, so the won’t fight it.
The only recourse is to take it to a higher court that may or may not find in your favor and you’ll pay more in court cost and attorney fees.
I swear, government is nothing more than a “money machine”.

Best answer:

Answer by ~Lauren~
Nope – not fair in my state (Oklahoma) they dont give a damn that you dont ever recieve child support-why should they hunt them down? It’s not thier money…..

Sorry ~ I’m upset about child support right now : )

Costa Mesa, CA (PRWEB) November 08, 2012

With many Americans still struggling to find their footing in the slowly recovering economy, the approaching holidays are a reminder of just how far we have to go. The Orange County Rescue Mission says donations of food and money have plunged to dangerous lows, all while the need for its services has simultaneously and exponentially increased.

Morgan Drexen (http://www.morgandrexen.com) CEO Walter Ledda says his company will lend a helping hand by holding a Holiday Food Drive from November 5-16.

We are all about helping people in need, said Ledda, whose philanthropic work had benefited various charities in the Orange County community. One of Morgan Drexens guiding principles is to support our community and to give back through our charity efforts.

Large donation bins are being placed in the lobby of the companys Costa Mesa headquarters. Morgan Drexens 340-plus employees, as well as visitors, can drop off non-perishable food products as well as other essential household items such as blankets, socks, toiletries and gift certificates. The Morgan Drexen team will deliver these donations directly to the Orange County Rescue Mission in Tustin.

Now through Thanksgiving, well serve thousands of meals to hungry men, women and children, says Donna Naccachian, Major Gifts Officer for the Orange County Rescue Mission. In our community, each meal is an opportunity to serve hope. When basic needs are met food, shelter and clothing men and women can look past the moment of desperate need and see the possibility of real-life change.

Morgan Drexen employees have stepped up before to help those in need. Its ongoing fundraising drive for CHOC Childrens has raised more than $ 18,000. Workers have also raised nearly $ 3,300 to assist the families of good Samaritans electrocuted while trying to help a car accident victim in Valley Village in August.

Recent statistics indicate as many as 45,000 homeless people currently living in Orange County, with nearly 30,000 of them being children. The Orange County Rescue Mission is funded entirely through donations and grants. To learn more, or to donate, click here.

Morgan Drexen is based in Costa Mesa, and provides software and administrative support to attorneys across the United States.

Question by : Is there such a thing as “power of the attorney” to send medical bills to auto insurances?
NEW JERSEY – This is regarding an attorney’s client who is a “motor vehicle accident” patient in a Rehab Center. Now, the PARALEGAL from the attorney’s office seems like she wants to speed up the reimbursements and wants to send the bills herself, expediting it using the “power of the attorney” and is DEMANDING the ITEMIZED bills and the medical records of this patient from the facility. Is this right? Shouldn’t the proper procedure be billed by the medical provider’s biller sending the approved Health Insurance Claim Forms, with the attending provider’s signature and the medical records?

Best answer:

Answer by mbrcatz
It depends on who’s insurance company you’re talking about.

If it’s a payment request from the CLIENT’S auto insurance carrier, that’s fine, and they can do that. But the client (or their attorney) cannot “bill” someone else’s insurance. They can only demand money.

No doubt part of the agreement between the client and the attorney, includes a power of attorney, and the attorney (or their representative) DOES have not only the right, but the NEED to get medical records and detailed billing, as part of disclosure for the proposed lawsuit.

In any state with no fault benefits, the auto carrier with med pay is the one who’s responsible – not the health insurance carrier.
