can i get arrested in another state if i have a warrant arrest in another state?

Question by Damon S : can i get arrested in another state if i have a warrant arrest in another state? If i have a warrant out for me in indiana can i get arrested in ky. for that warrant in indiana? Best answer:

Answer by tnfarmgirl
Depends on what the warrant in Indiana is for.
If the warrant in Indiana is for a felony, you had better not attract any attention by local law enforcement in Kentucky.

If you get pulled over, and they run a check on you, they will see the warrent for you in Indiana, and they will place you under arrest. Then, take you to their police station and they will notify the Indiana State Police and see if they want you to be extradited, or sent to them. If so, they will place you in a cell and you will wait until someone from Indiana comes to get you.

yes you can…all they have to do is run your information and any warrants from any state will show up

Every warrant has a pick-up radius your not so serious crimes have low pickup radius of just in the county, a little more serious would be ajoining county pickup radius, a little more serious yet would be just statewide, and a little more serious yet would be nationwide. I would say as long as you didn’t commit a felony you wouldn’t be picked up in another state.
