DMV finds new way to suspend your LICENSE beware!
I go to the DMV a month ago to renew my license. I have been going for the last twelve years without incident to renew without any problems since I haven’t had any tickets or points put on my license. I’m thinking its going to quick cause I already have an appointment just going to pay my money take and picture and then be on my way. The clerk takes my money and then says. “I’m sorry but threes a block on your license.” Immediately I know this has to be a mistake because I know I haven’t had any kind of ticket since having my license in the state of California. I ask for a supervisor and the supervisor tells me. “Well since 2005 all the DMV’s in the country are linked and you have a ticket in North Carolina from 1992.” I can’t even remember back to then.
Then to add insult to injury the clerk who I finally got in touch with after three days of calling says. “You have to come here in person to take care of this.” This means I would have to buy a plane ticket and hotel room to take care of a ticket that I would probably just get a fine for. They would not just charge me a fine and be done with a 17 year old ticket.

They called me back the next day with an AV (AV means the same as 5 stars for restaurants and stuff) rated lawyer in the county the ticket was issued. So a problem that potentially could have cost me a couple thousand dollars was taken care of for only my monthly coverage fee.
