Question by ICH8TE : Why do Republicans believe that a crime didn’t happen just because someone “didn’t press charges”? Is it just pure ignorance? I’m just reading here about Rep. Emanuel Cleaver being spit on by a nasty tea bag pig. The man made himself quite clear. Why do they always read something that ISN’T there???! Maybe the man didn’t want to go through the long drawn out hassle of pressing charges. Taking days off to go to court for it etc. I would have though but that’s me. I would have tried to get every dime out of the pig for that spit! Couldn’t kick his tail because then I’d be in jail! I said those tea criminals were going to get even nastier!

You don’t get to choose to press charges when there is an alleged hate crime–alleged assault motivated by the alleged use of the N-word.
Congressman Lewis and Congressman Cleaver should lose their jobs over this lie. The real controversy is yet to come over this matter. The article that you cite exposes Cleaver.
Let this be a lesson to you that the Race Card is maxed out and people are watching your actions.
This incident is assault by bodily fluids if it occurred as described.
However, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the “tea bag pig” was a left wing plant, probably from SEIU or Acorn, and that Cleaver knew it was coming all along which is why charges are not being pressed.
Republicans (and Democrats) are such borderline criminals they can relate to crime, and rather than stir things up and risk having their own criminality dragged out into the open, would prefer to be quiet and let the whole matter fade away…
Cleaver probably instigated the incident by an obnoxious statement or behavior, and knows he better keep his trap shut about the affair.

When I sneeze and spew snort all over my hand, by all rights I should charge myself with self-assault by bodily fluids. But I don’t.

Maybe then these fools just might stop acting like a bunch of savage animals. If someone ever spit on me, I would take him for everything he has…then I would not have to worry about paying high prices for my insurance coverage. I would just pay for everything in cash upfront just like they do when I get sick.
Since you fail to acknowledge the simple fact the T.E.A. Party is made up of all political ideologies, and also fail to have the decency of understanding every group or sect has it’s share of radicals, the few do not define the whole. If that were the case one could easily say the ALL Democrats are racist because Robert Byrd a KKK Grand Master belongs to the Democratic Party. How do you even know for sure that person was not indeed a Democrat as many Democrats also are against Obama. But that never crossed your mind did it???
