Shauna Huey was driving to her home near Punxsutawney about 2 am on April 8, 2006, when Pennsylvania State Police attempted to pull her over for speeding along State Route 2017. She slowed her car but believed it was a dangerous area to stop, and continued on. Trooper Guy Battlestilli performed a PIT (Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver on her vehicle, causing it to flip over. She was arrested for DUI and later entered an Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. Ms. Huey filed a federal lawsuit against the trooper for using excessive force and won a 5000 settlement. Maybe if she would have stopped…. the lawsuit is a joke… they paid her attorneys off because it was cheaper than going to court and it’s a write off….. big deal.
Rosco and Enis on the job.
She wasn’t going fast. She did those test pretty for someone who was “drunk”. I remember when I passed the same tests she did the cop never gave me a P.B.T. I think he wanted to see what it felt like to be Captain America. I would have sued for MORE! There was a reason I graduated, so I didn’t have to become a cop.
good thing she wasn’t black, they would ha ve beat the hair off her head and destroyed the tape
Yeah, there’s no way she slowed down at all there, at that speed I would’ve assumed she was evading as well and requested authorization for PIT.
So a drunk girl ran from the cops was pitted sued and got $275,000 dollars. Amazing.
