What do you democrats think of this?
Question by L.T.M. : What do you democrats think of this? This could be you and your family in this situation. Watch this woman’s testimony before congress. It’s a short video and I’ll ask you to pay close attention to your man Schumer. He’s exactly the kind of government official that King George III appointed and their abuses led to revolt by the citizens!
This is a safe link. Please watch this and then consider the words of our founders I’m posting here. http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf…
Thomas Jefferson: “Laws that forbid the carrying of arms…disarm only those who are neither
inclined or determined to commit crimes. Such laws only make things worse for the assaulted and
better for the assassins; they serve more to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man
may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
John Adams: “Arms in the hands of citizens may be used at individual discretion in private self
defense.”
George Washington: “Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the
people’s liberty teeth (and) keystone… the rifle and the pistol are equally indispensable… more than
99% of them
atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference
we need them every hour.” (Address to 1st session of Congress)
George Mason: “To disarm the people is the most effectual way to enslave them.” (3 Elliot,
Debates at 380)
James Madison: “Americans have the right and advantage of being armed, unlike the people of
other countries, whose people are afraid to trust them with arms.” (Federalist Paper #46)
Alexander Hamilton: “…that standing army can never be formidable (threatening) to the liberties
of the people, while there is a large body of citizens, little if at all inferior to them in the use of arms.”
(Federalist Paper #29)

Video link doesn’t work.
edit: Now it does. My response is that this woman lived in Texas, where it is really not that hard to get a concealed carry license, which she probably should have done. It’s a shame, because I bet she could have saved some lives. Without knowing what bill was being debated, though, I have a hard time formulating a response — was her tragic story really relevant to the debate? I do like her point that the 2nd amendment is not about hunting, though.

I think you should write a article about it and post it on uPressed.com
You make a fundamental mistake in using “democrats” and “think” in the same sentence because they don’t “think,” they feel. …and I’m sure they feel awful that the gunman in the incident was forced by the pressures of a conservaticve State to do as he did.
Armed we are citizens unarmed we are subjects. By the way have you ever seen any of the Chucky movies a lot of similarities there don’t you think? : )
