Should America continue to enforce ineffective laws?

Question by : Should America continue to enforce ineffective laws?
Guns laws have been largely ineffective at stopping gun violence. Many people argue that gun laws actually promote violence through the creation Gun Free Zones or registries. These people believe gun laws have not been enforced effectively, and we should therefore take the laws off the books.

Now replace “gun laws” with “immigration laws.” Same logic?

The only difference between the two is that we haven”t actually tried to enforce immigration laws.

But I think the way to “fix” illegal immigration is by getting rid of the incentives that bring the people here, e.g. 14th amendment, guaranteed medical care, etc.
