Mission

The primary Mission of MrCheckpoint is to deter drunk driving and promote public safety by publicizing DUI checkpoints, DUI statistics, speed traps, police activity, and changes in DUI awareness campaigns.

Method

In order actually help prevent drunk driving on the roads the first step is to reach the right audience. An organization as well known as Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) who helps countless victims of drunk driving doesnt necessarily identify with the right demographic when trying to make a difference on our roads. MrCheckpoint prides itself in identifying and targeting the right demographic being twenty-one to thirty-five year olds, which make up the majority of arrests and accidents relating to DUI. MrCheckpoint uses advanced technology and social media to provide up-to-date information for visitors and subscribers of MrCheckpoint.

MrCheckpoints free texting service sends ad supported SMS text messages in real-time to users who subscribe and opt-in to receive the service by texting the word NODUI to the number 51515. Users receive DUI checkpoint updates, speed trap alerts, as well discounts to local sponsors. MrCheckpoint is proud to have sent over One Million text messages since the launch in August of 2012.

Motivation

MrCheckpoints goal is to constantly explain and remind the dangers of DUI as well the high cost of getting arrested. MrCheckpoint has been publicly supported by anti-DUI non-profits and local police departments including MADD, DrinkingandDriving.org, Beverly Hills PD, Arcadia PD, and several others for helping build DUI awareness.

By researching and studying the basics of DUI laws, our desire is to help the public understand their rights and responsibilities at a DUI Checkpoint.

DUI checkpoints are conducted for two main reasons.

The auto accident attorneys in San Diego at the Traffic Accident Law Center unveiled their Glove Box Download, a printable card designed to help car accident victims collect information after a collision. The file is available in a Portable Document Format (PDF) on the homepage of the firms website.

Users can also learn more about the Glove Box Download by watching this You Tube video.

The Glove Box Download offers a place to fill out relevant information pertaining to the details of the accident and the parties involved. The card prompts the user to fill out the name of the other driver(s), their insurance information, the date and time of the accident, witness information and other relevant details.

After a crash, drivers and passengers are shocked and shaken, said San Diego injury lawyer Steve Gnau. They often forget or dont even know to collect the right information to protect their insurance claim or potential personal injury lawsuit. Thats where the Glove Box Download comes into play we hope to help protect the victims rights.

The Glove Box Download also provides users with basic accident tips, such as calling the police or 911 immediately and obtaining medical care and treatment, even if symptoms and injuries do not appear right away.

My husband had a truck in 2002 that was stolen we owed money but only like 1 payment behind when it was stolen. When the police found the truck, we told the truck place to tell us if it was driveable (it was in another city) . and they said they couldn’t do that so we told them to take it back they did and then they wanted to come after us for the remainder of the money after they sold it … Now after hard times they have handed us paper work to take us to court. My husband is the only one who works and we have 5 kids and are on goverment assistance …Please tell me what they can take from us or what we can do I dont know where to go from here.. Please no smart A-s-s-es Thanks
Just incase you don’t know I am on foodstamps and medical from the state does that matter.. Also we filed bankruptcy b-4 how is that going to look about 6 or 7 yrs ago… Thank you

Well from the sounds of it it does sound legal what they did. Unfortunate but legal. However, even though I know quite a bit im not a lawyer. I would consult one. You can get free legal advice at least in many places. Try searching for free legal advice on the web for your state.

I would suggest an essay on the “Amistadt Incident ” of 1849.
That incident should be in every US History book in the nation.
The outcome, which was decided by the Supreme Court, was a “Major” factor in starting the “Last Battle of the Revolution” as stated by one of the defense attorneys “Former President John Quincy Adams. And a major factor in why Spain supported the Confederacy in the Civil War. Queen Isabella I of Spain debated the Amistadt incident with 7 consecutive US Presidents on the issue that our government was “Weak” in it’s “Inability” to control our “Courts of Law”.
An essay on that would more than likely get you an A+ and amaze you fellow class mates on American History they never heard of.
