Underage misdemeanor Dui in california?

Question by : Underage misdemeanor Dui in california? ..and to the point. underage 20, blew a °0.08, ran out of gas on highway, pulled over to push car to gas station, cop comes to “help” and finds out I’m drunk, never sees me drive, just pushing the car. Should I get a lawyer? This it’s my first dui. I got stopped and cited for an open beer before but, I’m going to just pay that fine but want to know if that will work against me. This has really ruined my life plans, I swear to never drink n drive again, and I just want to know if I can save my license and if possible the consequences. thank you very much for any help and advice given. If you were pushing the car then the car was moving under your control.

Take your punishment and hopefully you’ll learn a lesson.

  1. John S says:

You are (or will be) charged with a very serious misdemeanor offense that can result in AT LEAST a large fine, increased insurance costs, and suspension of your driver’s license for a year. It could result in jail time. Of course you should have a lawyer. If you cannot afford an attorney, the court will appoint one for you. Then follow your attorney’s advice.
